Although our customers might night be able to regularly make it to the farm, they can stay informed and involved all year long with our latest updates.
WHO WE ARE
The "Jane James Used Tack Shop," located on the CTRA facility grounds sells used equestrian equipment ("tack") and riding apparel. Every year, CTRA receives thousands of dollars in donated horse equipment and riding clothing. Unless specified, donations of tack and apparel to the program are sorted by staff/volunteers and designated to be used directly by the program, sold in the used tack store, or re-distributed in the community via the "free store"
WHAT WE DO
The items selected for the used tack store are carefully chosen and priced to be very affordable. We work hard to balance the nature of the donation with the intention of making equestrian sport as accessible as possible. We connect local horse-owners and riders with surplus items sourced from the community. Both initiatives reduce excess and waste in the consumer cycle by helping the local equestrian community to reduce our demand for production by reusing existing goods.

The Jane James Used Tack Shop is located on "Providence Farm" at 1843 Tzouhalem Road Duncan, BC V9L 5L6
Go into the farm, drive to the very back intersection and take a right; follow the signs!
WHEN WE'RE HERE
The Tack Shop is open daily from 9:00 - 4:00 with no appointment necessary. Just come on in, say hi, and get a better sense of what we're all about. The Used Tack Store is by appointment only.
DONATION DROP-OFF
During operating hours (9-4 daily). Please don't drop-and-run as we would like to take the time to say thank you and get the information we need to provide you with a tax receipt (if applicable). If you have to drop-off outside of hours, please arrange this in advance (so we and security know to expect you). In some cases, we can arrange volunteer pick-up if you are not able to make the trip to the farm.
USED TACK STORE
While we try our best to accommodate drop-in shoppers within operating hours (9-4 daily), our program is our first priority and we may not be able to receive you without advance notice. If possible, please call ahead or book an appointment to visit!
